About the Job
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Inspect and receive all incoming product and material
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management, and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage according to company standards.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documentation to ensure correctness.
- Accurately record and update inventory data in the warehouse management system.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely and proper storage of received materials.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in periodic inventory audits and cycle counts as required.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delivery or quality concerns.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Ability to handle stress.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Physical dexterity and experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts, Yard Trucks, JLG, etc).
- Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory.
- Proficient in English.
- Excellent attention to detail.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Receiving works in all weather conditions; this Includes rain, snow, and sleet along with extreme hot and cold temperatures.
